In the homeland of “Lorenzo il Magnifico”, Pizzeria I’ Regolo was born, taking its name from the protagonist from the legend set in the historic Medici Fortress of St. Martin located in the hills of Scarperia and San Piero.
I’Regolo, according to medieval tradition, was a mythological animal, (the different versions compete for a dragon rather than a huge snake), which had supernatural powers and hid in the foundations of the fortress.
Since then it is told of strange phenomena, never explained, that followed in the shadow of the fort…
From legend we move on to reality, a reality made of flavors, tradition, innovation and hospitality….
